Shannon Welch Joins Avid Reader Press as V-p and Editorial Director
Shannon Welch has joined Avid Reader Press, a division of Simon & Schuster, as v-p and editorial director.
The move marks a return to S&S for Welch, who worked at Scribner as an executive editor from 2012 to 2017. She has also served as an executive editor at Rodale, from 2007 to 2012, and HarperOne, from 2018 to 2021. Most recently, she served as v-p and editorial director of HarperOne.
Across her career, Welch has worked with such authors as Susan Blum, Adam Braun, Rosalynn Carter, Bryan Cranston, Adele Faber, John and Julie Gottman, Ross Greene, Laird Hamilton, the estate of Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, John McDougall, Trevor Moawad, Mary-Frances O’Connor, Gabrielle Reece, Francine Shapiro, Elizabeth Marshall Thomas, Jim VandeHei, and Cleo Wade.
