Harper to Publish Memoir by Alex Van Halen

Harper will publish Brothers, a memoir by Alex Van Halen, the original drummer and cofounder of  Van Halen, on October 22. The publisher described the book as a "story of family, camaraderie, immigration, music, and loss" as well as a "tribute to [Van Halen's] late little brother and bandmate, Edward," who died in 2020.

The book will also publish in Canada on October 22, in the U.K. on October 24, and in Australia and New Zealand on October 30.

The deal for world English rights was negotiated by Harper president and publisher Jonathan Burnham and Luke Janklow of Janklow & Nesbit Associates, with Harper senior v-p and executive editor Sara Nelson to edit.
