Women's Media Group to Honor Marie Dutton Brown, We Need Diverse Books, and More

Women's Media Group will hold a gala celebrating the organization's 50th anniversary at the New York Historical Society on March 25. The gala will recognize the work of a number of women and organizations with several awards. 

  • The Brooklyn Public Library's Books Unbanned initiative will receive the Champion of Media Award.
  • Literary agent and publishing consultant Marie Dutton Brown will receive the Media Trailblazer Award.
  • Amber Oliver, senior editor at Bloomsbury, will receive the Media Superstar Award.
  • We Need Diverse Books, and founder Ellen Oh, will receive the Diversity Advocate Award. 
  • Mary McAveney, Chandra Turner, and Michele Weisman will each receive the WMG Founders Impact Award.
