DiTrapano Foundation Marks Fifth Round of Fellows, Seeks to Raise $50K

The Giancarlo DiTrapano Foundation for Literature and the Arts, a creative arts residency foundation founded in 2022 named for the late publisher of Tyrant Books, is seeking to raise $50,000 this spring in honor of what would have been its late namesake's 50th birthday.

"As the publisher and editor of Tyrant Books, and through the Mors Tua Vita Mea workshops he hosted with Chelsea Hodson, Gian continually brought writers and artists to work on their craft in the inspiring setting of Sezze, Italy," the foundation said in a statement. "We have continued this tradition, and in just a few years, the Foundation has already hosted 20 writers and artists and numerous events," including its inaugural fully funded class last year. Its fifth cohort will begin their residencies this month.
