'Poetry in America' Returns for National Poetry Month

The fourth season of the PBS series Poetry in America began airing on April 1 in honor of National Poetry Month and will run through the spring. Each of the eight half-hour episodes focuses on a single poem in order to explore a "broader vision of America." This season will explore the work of Phillis Wheatley, Sylvia Plath, Robert Lowell, Tracy K. Smith, Frank O’Hara, and more. 

The series is part of the larger multi-platform Poetry in America educational project, which focuses on increasing access to humanities education for K-12 students and teachers. It will be be available to stream on the PBS app, pbs.org, poetryinamerica.org, PBS Living, available on Prime Video and Apple TV Channels, as well as available to download on Amazon, iTunes and Comcast Xfinity.
