Off Limits Press to Close in June
Off Limits Press, the queer-owned boutique press specializing exclusively in contemporary horror, will shutter on June 1, 2025, per an announcement made by editor-in-chief Waylon Jordan on Bluesky. Authors have been given advanced notice so they can search for publishing alternatives, and books will remain on sale through the publisher’s website until June.
Jordan cites personal, emotional, and financial reasons for the closure. “Thank you again, and I'm so sorry to anyone upset by this news,” Jordan writes. “It was truly the last thing I wanted to do, but in the end, I had to do what was best for me and my authors.”
Off Limits Press was originally founded in 2020, and its shuttering will bookend its five-year run.
