Grand Central Life & Style Acquires Misty Copeland’s ‘Ballerina Body’

Grand Central Life & Style, an imprint of Grand Central Publishing, a division of Hachette Book Group, announced the acquisition of Ballerina Body, the first health and fitness book by dancer Misty Copeland.  Karen Murgolo, v-p, editorial director of Grand Central Life & Style acquired the North American rights at auction from Steve Troha of Folio Literary Management. The book is tentatively scheduled for publication in the winter of 2017 in hardcover, e-book, and audio editions.

Ballerina Body will feature “a program of nutrition, exercise, and motivation” modeled on Copeland’s own lifestyle program, according to the press release. The book will also include meal plans, recipes, a daily cleanse, a do-it-anywhere exercise plan melding techniques from the world of dance, yoga, and Pilates, and advice to help women love their bodies.
