
S&S Acquires Allen Levi’s Self-Published Novel
Katherine Nintzel and Sean deLone at Atria, Jason Pinter at Simon Maverick, and Adrienne Kerr at Simon & Schuster Canada bought North American rights to Allen Levi’s Theo of Golden from Suzanne Gluck at WME. A fall 2025 release is planned.
Theo of Golden was originally self-published in 2023 and sold more than 170,000 copies. The book follows a stranger’s arrival in a small southern city and the “power of small, everyday acts of connection and grace,” per the publisher.
Tracy Fisher and Celia Rogers at WME have sold rights to the novel in Brazil (HarperCollins Brasil), Catalan (PRH Grupo Editorial), Croatia (Profil), Estonia (Rahva Raamat) Finland (WSOY), France (JC Lattès), Germany (Piper), Greece (Psichogios), Holland (Meulenhoff), Hungary (Agave), Italy (Salani), Korea (O’Fan House), Portugal (Presenca), Serbia (Laguna), Slovania (Mladinska Knjiga), Spain and Latin America (PRH Grupo Editorial), and Sweden (Forum) with deals in process in the Czech Republic, Japan, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Thailand and Ukraine
