Nicky Devaney to Lead HBG’s New Retail Sales Group
Nicky Devaney has been newly promoted to VP of retail sales at Hachette Book Group. The promotion comes amid the HBG’s sales reorganization and the formation of its new retail sales group, which Devaney will lead. Devaney will continue her direct reporting line to HBG EVP and group sales director Lauren Monaco.
In her expanded role, Devaney will oversee the Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and independent sales teams. To support this new structure, Mackenzie Bronk, recently promoted to director of sales for B&N and BAM, will report directly to Devaney. Derek Meehan will also step into the newly created position of director of field strategy and operations, focusing on streamlining processes and elevating field support, according to HBG.
Upon her return from maternity leave later this month, Chrissy Heleine will continue to oversee the retail sales teams and will expand her leadership to include HBG’s newest sales team members: Jeffrey Chin, associate director of sales analytics, and Conor Mintzer, director of sales operations.
