Libby McGuire Promoted to EVP, Director of U.S. Content Coordination at S&S
Atria Books publisher Libby McGuire has been promoted to EVP and director of U.S. content coordination at Simon & Schuster.
McGuire, who returned to S&S in 2018 to head up Atria, will continue to lead the imprint as publisher “while also serving as a liaison between the Simon & Schuster Adult group and our international publishers in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, and VBK in Belgium and the Netherlands,” said S&S CEO Jon Karp in an announcement.
“As Simon & Schuster grows its international footprint,” Karp continued, “Libby has already been playing an important role in making sure we’re all talking to each other and identifying opportunities for better international coordination.” He noted her “instrumental” role in establishing S&S’s partnership with Urano to distribute titles in Spanish-language territories, as well as her leadership “strengthening our communication on our shared international authors and World rights acquisitions.”
