Atria Bets on Mercedes Ron’s New Adult Duology
In a multiple house auction, Yezanira Venecia at Atria Books acquired North American rights to Mercedes Ron’s Face to Face duology from Johanna Castillo at Writers House.
Ivory, the first book in the series, is a “pulse-pounding new adult debut about a guarded heiress and her brooding bodyguard, whose explosive enemies-to-lovers romance collides with the lethal secrets of a mafia underworld,” per the publisher. Its sequel, Ebony, follows the couple as “their forbidden love is tested by betrayal, vengeance, and the dangerous pull of a dark, high-stakes world that refuses to let them go.”
Ron is the author of the My Fault trilogy, which has sold more than four million copies worldwide, according to Atria.
Atria plans to release Ivory in fall 2026 and Ebony in spring 2027. The Face to Face duology has also been sold to: UK & AU at auction to S&S UK; Germany to CBJ/PRH; Spain & LATAM to Montena-PRH; France to Hachette Livre; and Russia to Eksmo. Offers are in from Romania, Italy, Portugal, and Brazil.
