Book Aid International Tallies 2025 Donations

U.K.-based nonprofit Book Aid International said it provided more than 850,000 new books to 160 NGO and library partners in 22 countries in 2025, including more than 13,000 books to support PEN Ukraine’s Unbreakable Libraries campaign.

Book Aid International president Nigel Newton, who is also the founder and chief executive of Bloomsbury Publishing, said in a statement, “We know that there is so much that we can do to get communities reading—especially as we book lovers come together to celebrate the National Year of Reading 2026—and we look forward to continuing to support this inspiring charity’s great work.”
