Craig Petersen Named CEO of Lulu Press

Self-publishing platform Lulu has named Craig Petersen as its CEO. He succeeds Kathy Hensgen, who retired as CEO at the end of 2025 and transitioned into the role of EVP of strategy.

Petersen’s has an extensive background in software as service (SaaS), and has previously been involved with such SaaS platforms as Modernmeal, EnableSoft, PowerDetails, and PowerDMS.

As CEO, Petersen will focus on “deepening Lulu’s enterprise capabilities while maintaining the flexibility that supports a broad range of customers,” per a press release.

The appointment comes amid Lulu’s “continued evolution into a technology-driven print and fulfillment platform,” per the release. In 2016, Lulu also launched an academic publishing platform, dedicated to academic authors and communities.
