Emerson Named Chair of Hachette Livre COO Board

Chairman and chief executive of Hachette Livre Arnaud Nourry announced that Chris Emerson, chief operating officer of Hachette U.K., is replacing David Young as chair of the Hachette Livre chief operating officers’ board.

Established in 2009, the COO board oversees global initiatives in Hachette Livre’s digital and operational infrastructure. Young, chief executive of Orion and deputy CEO of Hachette U.K., stood down as chair when he retired from HUK earlier this month.

Emerson will take up his role immediately, reporting to Nourry. He will also join the international executive board of Hachette Livre.
