PRH Launches New Acquisition Unit

To help it more effectively bring in publishers it acquires into Penguin Random House, the company has formed the Acquisition Optimization and Integration team.

In a memo, COO Jeff Abraham explained that the new team will work with other PRH departments to “develop integration strategies that optimize short and long-term value while preserving the creative independence and unique business models of the businesses we acquire.”

Abraham added, “For businesses that we decide not to fully integrate, the team will provide ongoing access to industry-leading best practices and corporate resources.”

To head up the new team, Rachel Goldstein has been promoted to president of Penguin Random House Publisher Services and acquisition optimization, and will report to Abraham.
