Promotions at Ballantine Bantam Dell
The Ballantine Bantam Dell group (BBD) has announced several leadership promotions across its fiction and nonfiction programs ahead of the departure of Ballantine Books Group president Kara Welsh on March 31. Following the announcement of her departure, made in January, Scott Shannon was named president of BBD.
Most recently, Shannon announced that Kara Cesare has been promoted to SVP and editor-in-chief of BBD, reporting to Jennifer Hershey, who will continue to serve as SVP and publisher.
Hilary Teeman, editorial director of Ballantine Fiction, and Julian Pavia, executive editor, have both been promoted to VP.
Ballantine’s nonfiction program will be led by Mary Reynics, newly promoted to editorial director, alongside Sara Weiss.
And Dell Delacorte will continue under the leadership of Shauna Summers, who has been promoted to VP and editor-in-chief. Alicia Clancy, promoted to editorial director of Dell, will report to Summers.
