S&S to Publish Memoir by Bob Woodward
Simon & Schuster has announced it will publish Secrets: A Reporter’s Memoir by Bob Woodward on September 29.
Jonathan Karp had acquired world rights from the late Robert Barnett at Williams & Connolly. Release is set for September.
The memoir, per the publisher, "takes readers far beyond Watergate to the full reporting life of a man regarded as among the best journalists of our time."
Woodward has worked at the Washington Post for 55 years and is best known for his Pulitzer Prize–winning coverage, with Carl Bernstein, of the Watergate scandal. S&S has published 24 books either written or co-written by Woodward.
“This memoir is monumental and magnificent,” said Karp, who also edited the book, in a statement. “It may be Bob Woodward’s greatest achievement as an author. No reporter has had a greater impact covering our national story.”
