S&S to Publish Account of Trump’s Second Term
Simon & Schuster has announced that it will publish Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump by reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan on June 23. Jonathan Jao, VP and editorial director at S&S, acquired world rights, first serial rights, and audiobook rights from Matt Latimer at Javelin, who represents Maggie Haberman, and Pilar Queen at United Talent Agency, who represents Jonathan Swan.
The book covers the first year of Trump’s second presidency and is based on “hundreds of interviews and unprecedented reporting from deep within the administration’s most closely guarded rooms,” according to the publisher.
Both Haberman and Swan are currently White House correspondents for the New York Times. In 2018, Haberman won a Pulitzer Prize for reporting on the investigation into Trump’s campaign and ties to Russia, while Swan won an Emmy Award for his 2020 interview of then-President Trump.
