PubWest Announces 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award Winners

PubWest, the trade association of small- and medium-sized book publishers, is recognizing Lawrence Ferlinghetti and Elaine Katzenberger with its 2016 Jack D. Rittenhouse Award.

Ferlinghetti, poet, translator, critic, and author of A Coney Island of the Mind, co-founded City Lights Bookstore in 1953. Katzenberger is executive director and publisher of City Lights Books, and program director for the City Lights Foundation.

The Jack D. Rittenhouse Award honors those who have made extraordinary contributions to book publishing, specifically in the West. The awards ceremony will take place during PubWest 2016 scheduled for February 4-6, 2016 at the La Fonda on the Plaza, Santa Fe, New Mexico.
