PublicAffairs to Publish Book By Americans Who Stopped A Terrorist in Paris

The Perseus Books Group's imprint PublicAffairs acquired a new book, The 15:17 to Paris, for publication in August 2016. Written by Anthony Sadler, Alek Skarlatos, and Spencer Stone, the book covers how the three young American friends foiled a terrorist attack on a train bound for Paris in August 2015. The book will be co-authored by Jeffrey E. Stern and was represented by Creative Artists Agency.

On August 21, 2015, childhood friends Sadler, Skarlatos, and Stone were able to overtake ISIS terrorist Ayoub al-Khazzani on the 15:17 train in Brussels bound for Paris. Although the gunman was armed with an AK-47, a pistol, and a box cutter, the three Americans decided to fight him. The 15:17 to Paris is the gripping true telling of the terrorist attack that would have killed over 500 people if not for the three Americans, according to a press release.
