Zondervan Nabs Memoir by Real-Life Doctor From 'Concussion'

In a book coming from Zondervan in Fall 2017, Dr. Bennett Omalu, who was portrayed by Will Smith in 2015’s NFL drama Concussion, will share his life story. In addition to sharing personal stories and an account of his Christian faith, Omalu will detail his discovery of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a progressive degenerative disease found in people who have suffered a severe blow to the head. Further, Dr. Omalu discusses the impact his discovery has had on professional sports organizations such as the NFL.

Bestselling author Mark Tabb is set to co-write the book. His past projects include Mistaken Identity, Running for My Life, and the upcoming memoir Not Forgotten with former North Korean prisoner Kenneth Bae.
