2016 Whiting Award Winners Announced

The 2016 Whiting Awards, which recognize emerging writers of fiction, nonfiction, drama, and poetry, took place on Wednesday at the New-York Historical Society with a keynote by poet and Pulitzer Prize finalist Elizabeth Alexander, author of The Light of the World.

This year’s winners, who each won $5,000, are as follows:

Mitchell S. Jackson (Fiction)
