Christian Distributor Send the Light to Close

Citing competition from Amazon and losses due to Family Christian Stores' (FCS) bankruptcy, one of the largest Christian distributors in the U.S., Send the Light Distribution (STL), will close this summer, Christianity Today reported.

Glenn Bailey, president of STL, said that Amazon Prime "destroys the current or past way that business had been done" while speaking to the magazine. Another "contributing" factor in STL's demise was a loss of about $500,000 in FCS's Chapter 11 bankruptcy last year, according to Bailey.

STL, which is based in Johnson City, Tenn., shipped to more than 10,000 retailers in the U.S.
