JetBlue's Book Machines to Hit Motor City

JetBlue’s Soar with Reading program has added Detroit to its list of cities to receive free book vending machines, and has installed five machines across the city. The airline will also return one machine to the Anacostia area of Washington, D.C., to continue to encourage children’s reading habits. The custom-designed book vending machines by Innovative Vending Solutions are stocked with books for children ages 0-14, and the program will donate 120,000 free books to cities with "book deserts," areas where children and their families have little access to purchase books. The program is a partnership with Random House Children’s Books and its Magic Tree House® series.
