The 'Sunday Times' EFG Short Story Award Opens for Submissions

The 'Sunday Times' EFG Short Story Award, worth £30,000 to the winning author, is now open for submissions. Previous winners include Junot Diaz, Anthony Doerr, and Yiyun Li. Judges will be announced in September, and will be looking for an outstanding English-language story of no more than 6,000 words from a fiction author from anywhere in the world who has been published in the U.K. or Ireland. Five shortlisted writers will each receive £1,000, and will have their work published online. The deadline for entries this year is September 29 at 6:00 p.m. Click here for more information.
