Stephen Bown Wins William Mills Prize

Stephen Bown's White Eskimo: Knud Rasmussen's Fearless Journey into the Heart of the Arctic (Merloyd Lawrence Books) has won the 2016 William Mills Prize for Non-Fiction Polar Books. The prize winner was announced at an awards ceremony on July 13, 2016, in Fairbanks, Alaska, at the Polar Library Colloquy's biennial conference. The Polar Libraries Colloquy is an international organization of librarians and others interested in the collection, preservation, and dissemination of polar information.
