Caitlin McKenna Receives Ashmead Award

Caitlin McKenna, an editor at Random House, has been named the sixth recipient of the Ashmead Award, the publishing prize named in honor of book editor Lawrence Peel “Larry” Ashmead designed to nurture the career of a promising young editor in the field of book publishing. McKenna will attend the Yale Publishing Course: Leadership Strategies in Book Publishing, next summer in New Haven, Conn.

McKenna began her publishing career as an assistant at Melanie Jackson Agency in 2009, and joined Random House in 2012. Her forthcoming projects include Known and Strange Things by Teju Cole, American Ulysses by Ronald C. White, The Tao of Bill Murray by Gavin Edwards, and The Animators by Kayla Rae Whitaker.
