New Head for Chicago's Printer's Row Fair
Sam Weller -- 3/23/98
Mary Davis Fournier, formerly with Miami Book Fair International, is hard at work as the new project coordinator of the annual Printer's Row Book Fair in Chicago. The fair, now in its 14th season, will be held Saturday and Sunday, May 30 and 31, in Chicago's historic south loop district, known as Printer's Row, simultaneously with BEA.
Fournier will oversee all facets of the event including coordinating booksellers, author readings, panel discussions and developing programs for adults and children. The fair played host to 180 vendors last year and Fournier expects to expand the event. Because of a perennial shortage of space ("We sell out every year," she said) Fournier is examining ways to expand the street boundaries of the fair.
