Better Results Mean More Noodle Kidoodle Stores
-- 4/13/98
Noodle Kidoodle reported a 37.5% increase in sales to $81.6 million for the year ended January 31, 1998, and the multimedia retailer reduced its net loss to $1.9 million from $7.5 million in fiscal 1997. The chain benefited from a 16% increase in comparable-store sales, plus the addition of one new outlet in the year.
Company chairman Stanley Greenman said that with the improved results, Noodle Kidoodle, which finished fiscal 1997 with 32 stores, will open at least six new outlets this year. Stores are already planned for Dallas and Plano, Tex., and Northville, Mich.
