Nonfiction High Rollers
-- 5/25/98
Both women and men can benefit from two new nonfiction top sellers. Marilu Henner's Total Health Makeover, from ReganBooks, boasts more than 65,000 copies in print after four trips to press, and the actress (who just completed her starring role in the Broadway hit Chicago) is on a five-city tour and has been on numerous national TV shows. Gail Sheehy will have visited 19 cities by the time she finishes her tour in mid June for her latest bestseller, Understanding Men's Passages: Discover the new Map of Men's Lives; copies in print after two trips to press total 170,000 copies. Random House notes that Sheehy has been surprised that women make up at least half of her audience at her bookstore events.
