Publishers' Breast Cancer Effort

Book publishers, in collaboration with bookstores, ad agencies and magazine and newspaper editors, have organized a cooperative project to highlight Breast Cancer Awareness month in October.
The effort will showcase a variety of titles from many publishers on the topic. Deborah Aiges, v-p and creative director at Random House and a breast cancer survivor, is overseeing it.

Promotional resources, including donated advertising space in print and on websites, are being provided by a number of national publications, among them the New York Times and Publishers Weekly. Bookstores are being asked to feature the titles, and a promotional kit will be available September 1. For more information, contact Aiges at (212) 572-6082.
