New Harper Imprint Moves Forward

HarperCollins's new HarperEntertainment imprint hopes to release approximately 135 titles in the fiscal year running from July 1998 through June 1999, John Silbersack, publishing director of the imprint, told PW. Silbersack stressed that HarperEntertainment will offer multiple formats. "We will be property driven, not format or channel driven," Silbersack said.
To help the imprint meet its objectives, HC announced a number of new HarperEntertainment appointments. Mauro DiPreta has been named executive editor, while Caitlin Blasdell and Pat Teberg have been appointed senior editors. Other appointments include Amy Wasserman as associate director of marketing and N lle La Corbiniere as licensing director.
