Back in 1995, science writer Daniel Goleman's Emotional Intelligence (Bantam) began its more than year-long run on the national bestseller charts, accruing about 763,000 copies in print after 41 trips to press; the trade paperback edition has been back to press 11 times, and has 450,000 copies in print. Now Goleman is back on the charts with Working with Emotional Intelligence, which takes the concept of EQ into the workplace. Goleman got a full hour on Oprah October 6 and a Today show interview on October 14. Meanwhile, all the attention is also garnering sales for the first book, which is right below the top 15 trade paper bestsellers this week.
