NBC News' chief medical correspondent has been on tour almost all of October (timed to coincide with National Breast Cancer Awareness month) publicizing his new book, The Breast Cancer Prevention Diet. Little, Brown launched the book on October 1 with an initial printing of 100,000 copies and an appearance on Today. But it was his one-hour appearance on Oprah that placed him high on the national charts. LB ordered 50,000 more copies before the show and another 150,000 right afterward, and notes that is ready "for more big printings at a moment's notice." Upcoming plans include a 20-city satellite tour and a six-figure ad campaign the will run through November.
