Seven Hills Book Distributors has reached an agreement with Pulp Publications, a newly launched U.K. reprint firm, to distribute a new line of classic science fiction, horror and fantasy novels in trade paper in the U.S.

Greg Hatfield, senior publicist at the Cincinnati, Ohio-based Seven Hills, told PW the new imprint, called Pulp Fictions, will publish 'classics at a great price,' as well as other, less well-known titles by classic authors. The books sell for $7.95 each, and the imprint has just released six classic reprints by Bram Stoker, Edgar Allan P and H. Rider Haggard. Pulp Fictions titles are in the public domain and many were previously available only as part of collections or have been out of print since the 1940s.

Fourteen books will be released between March and July, and 10 new reprints are scheduled to be published in the 1999-2000 fall/winter season. Authors will include E.C. Tubb, Edgar Wallace and Rudyard Kipling. Seven Hills can be contacted at (513) 471-4300; www.sevenhillsbooks.com.
