Neil Levin, v-p of sales and marketing for the Time-Life Trade and Custom Publishing divisions, has been promoted to publisher of those units, succeeding Terry Newell, who left earlier this year to become president of Weldon Owen Publishing. Levin, who will report to George Artandi, president and CEO of Time-Life, will oversee the Trade and Custom division's editorial, marketing, sales and distribution operations. Since joining Time-Life in 1994, Levin has been instrumental in developing strategies to distribute books through nontraditional outlets and was a member of the team that developed T-L's publishing partnership with Williams-Sonoma.
