Reader's Digest has added two people to its children's division's sales team and named a new executive editor of Select Editions.

Charlotte Maywald has been named national sales manager, mass market, for RD's children's publishing division, and Ashley Bell has been appointed national sales manager, clubs/special markets. Maywald moved to RD from Weston Gallery and will be responsible for the publisher's children's sales to Target, Kmart, Wal-Mart and Toys R Us, as well as to Levy, Anderson Merch and Sher Distributing. Bell, who had been director of national accounts at Golden Books, will oversee the company's sales to AMS, Costco, Sam's and BJ's. Both will report to Debra Polansky, director of sales and marketing. On the editorial side, Paul Dinas will start this week as executive editor of Select Editions. He had been editor-in-chief at Kensington. RD is expanding Select Editions into new areas including romance and mystery.
