The National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C., is hosting an exhibition called "Rapunzel! Rapunzel! Let Down Your Hair!" until January 2002. Designed for children and adults, the exhibit features over 50 illustrations and 41 books published in the last 150 years in a number of languages; interpretations of the tale range from traditional to romantic to feminist to rap. On September 30, the museum will hold a family program called "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Tell Us Your Story," which will include a tour of the exhibit and an afternoon of storytelling.
