With its acquisition of Hungry Minds completed, John Wiley & Sons has begun the integration process by eliminating a number of top corporate positions. Among those leaving is John Kilcullen, Hungry Minds' chairman and CEO and the man who helped launch the company that was originally known as IDG Books. Other top executives to leave include Bill Barry, company president and COO; John Ball, executive v-p and secretary; and John Harris, senior v-p and CFO. The four men earned a total of nearly $2 million in salary and bonuses last year and as part of their contracts are entitled to 200% of their base salary plus any bonuses due if they are terminated due to the sale of the company.

Also leaving the company are Cindy Allaf, v-p for human resources, and Alan Winnikoff, v-p of marketing and communications.
