Oprah, much of the time. In the case of this week's single nonfiction newcomer, however, it's for something quite different. Warner Books seems to have struck a particularly responsive chord with Satisfaction: The Art of the Female Orgasm by Kim Cattrall and Mark Levinson. After three printings, this January 24 release is up to 140,000 copies—a number that's undoubtedly helped by Cattrall's, er, exposure as sexy Samantha Jones on HBO's Emmy-winning Sex and the City (Levinson is the actress's real-life husband). Highlights along the publicity trail include appearances on Dateline NBC, Today, The View, a Los Angles Times interview and a New York Times Style section cover story; an appearance with Rosie O'Donnell is set for today. Major signings have been held in Toronto, Chicago, L.A., San Francisco and New York City—where a January 25 B&N event was so successful that Warner's planned another signing, this one for February 13, to take advantage of Valentine's Day. Warner assistant publicity director Jimmy Franco noted that the B&N signing attracted a very eclectic mix of fans: mothers buying copies for children, children buying them for their mothers—"there was even one guy who bought three copies for former girlfriends."
