Looking to widen its trade book operations, Rodale has hired Penguin Putnam editor Jeremy Katz as executive editor of its Men's Health Book imprint.

Katz, who is best known for health and fitness titles like Body Rx: Dr. Scott Connell's 6-Pack, will take over an imprint that at times has been more connected to the magazine world. "We've tended to do a lot of books from the inside. I'd like to see that change," said David Zinczenko, editor-in-chief of Men's Health. "With Jeremy here, we expect to attract and acquire big name authors from the outside. We want to bring the buzz to Men's Health in books that it has in magazines, and Jeremy excels at introducing cutting edge ideas to a broad public."
