Elisabeth Sifton is a well-known editor and author, formerly of Knopf, now at FSG's Hill & Wang; her father was the noted theologian and author Reinhold Niebuhr, and 30 years after his death Sifton is completing a memoir about him. There were several bidders when agent Gloria Loomis at Watkins Loomis sent it around, but Norton's Bob Weil came up the winner as the editor Sifton most wanted to work with, and the world rights deal (except Germany) was concluded with him. According to Loomis, the book will probably be called The Serenity Prayer, after one of Niebuhr's most celebrated creations, and will be published late this year.
