HarperCollins has announced the hiring of Diane Naughton as the new v-p of marketing for HarperCollins Children's Books.

Naughton will report to Susan Katz, president and publisher of HarperCollins Children's Books. She succeeds Pam Lutz, who is leaving HarperCollins for personal reasons.

Naughton began her marketing career at Crown Publishers and Waldenbooks. She worked in marketing and publishing for nine years with the National Basketball Association, joined Sesame Workshop in 1998 as director of marketing and was named v-p, general manager, publishing, in 2000.
