The diet doctor is undergoing a new wave of popularity now that some of his principles have been winning official approval; so it seemed like a good time for Heather Jackson at St. Martin's Press to woo him back for another round. It's the tentatively titled Dr. Atkins' Controlled Carb Living, and Jackson paid six figures for world English, audio and first serial to Michael Bernstein of the doctor's franchising company, Atkins Nutritionals. The new book will offer a six-month diet plan, with recipes, to keep Atkins adherents on the straight and narrow.
