A book by Senator John Edwards of North Carolina, in which he talks not just of politics but mostly of his efforts as a lawyer to help people throughout his state, and about the justice system at large, was signed by Simon & Schuster publisher David Rosenthal. This was a world rights buy from two William Morris honchos, chairman Norman Brokaw and senior v-p Mel Berger. The personal memoir, still untitled, is scheduled for publication late next year.
