The American Booksellers Association—Children's Book Council Joint Committee, which organizes the Children's Book and Author Breakfast at BookExpo America, has expanded. It will now include representation of the Association of Booksellers for Children, and will be known as the Children's Booksellers and Publishers Committee.

Other activities for the committee include organizing the annual Children's Books Mean Business catalogue and exhibit, and developing educational materials and projects.

The committee is soliciting suggestions from publishers for speakers at next year's Children's Book and Author Breakfast, at BookExpo America in Los Angeles. There will be three speakers: a picture-book artist, an author of middle-grade books and a YA author. Publishers may send suggestions, along with biographical information and a list of recent titles, to Molly Ker, Children's Book Council, 12 W. 37th St., 2nd floor, New York, N.Y. 10018, or to molly.ker@cbcbooks.org. The deadline is September 23.
