Publishers Weekly has added a new Midwest correspondent and a Web master.

Claire Kirch is now covering the Midwest for PW. Between 1994 and 2000, Kirch served as marketing and publicity manager for feminist publisher Spinsters Ink, and for the past three years she worked as an independent book publicist. In addition to her new PW responsibilities, Kirch continues to edit the Reader's Edge, a bookstore marketing newsletter published by Paz & Associates. She can be reached, for story suggestions and requests for coverage, via e-mail at clairekirch@aol.com or by phone at (218) 727-8373.

Karin Bilich has joined PW from Americanbaby.com, where she was content manager. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of the Web sites for PW, Library Journal and School Library Journal, Bilich will lead the redesign and restructuring of all three sites.

In addition, Karen Holt, former editor of Book Publishing Report, is editing PW's e-mail NewsLine and serving as an editor in the magazine's news department while Steve Zeitchik completes a two-month editorial fellowship in Berlin.
