The celebrated writing teacher Natalie Goldberg, author of the million-copy bestseller Writing Down the Bones, is changing publishers, moving to Harper San Francisco for her next book, a memoir called The Great Failure. Editor Gideon Weil bought the book, which describes Goldberg's complex relationships with her father and her Zen teacher, from agent Geri Thoma at the Elaine Markson agency, and plans to publish next fall. Goldberg's classic book was published by Shambhala, and she has also done a couple of books for Bantam.
