Red Wheel/Weiser announced that it will handle distribution for neighboring Boston publisher Skinner House Books, a 27-year-old imprint of the Unitarian Universalist Association, starting with its spring list. Of the 15 books a year that Skinner House publishes, three-quarters are trade titles with a strong spiritual bent. Bestselling trade backlist includes Grasshopper Dreaming: Reflections on Killing and Loving by Jeffrey Lockwood, which includes his essay "To Be Honest," winner of a 2002 Pushcart Prize, and In Memoriam: A Guide to Modern Funeral and Memorial Services by Edward Searl.

Starting this fall, Diamond Book Distributors is adding five new clients: Dirty Danny Legal Defense Fund, publisher of Legal Action Comics; manga publisher Fanboy Entertainment; graphic novel publisher Mad Yak Press; Now Media Group, publisher of Ralph Smart Adventures, among others; and Red Eye Press, a small press that publishes Mortal Coils and Valentine, about a fugitive hit woman.
