HarperCollins Children's Books has announced the introduction of a fiction contest in the name of Ursula Nordstrom, the legendary children's publisher who directed Harper's Department of Books for Boys and Girls from 1940 to 1973. The contest will be open to U.S. writers who have not been published before. The winner of the contest will receive a hardcover book contract with a $7,500 advance as well as a $1,500 cash award. Submissions will be accepted from March 15 through April 15, and the winner will be announced on June 15.
